Cameo is missing excitement. People don’t care if a celebrity wishes us a happy birthday or congratulates us on an accomplishment because we know it costs a lot of money and it’s not genuine. So let’s pay them to do wild sh*t instead.

*the Antonio Brown example is a joke.
Problem: Cameo is boring and celebrities have too much leverage in the recording process. They get to pick and choose which requests to take and not to take at their fixed rate (No real motivation). They set their prices and operate within that effort range.
Solution: Introducing Cameo Unhinged. A new feature that allows fans to request a celebrity to perform any action by sending in a request with a bid amount ( must be above the celebrity’s minimum).
To protect fans from unwanted backlash, they will have the option to pay for their request using cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC) and only their wallet address will be displayed with the request.
At first, I thought that this would be hilarious, but I think it would be extremely promising as celebrities would still have the final say on which requests to accept, and fans would be able to see their favorite celebrities behaving completely unhinged for money.
With celebrities leveraging their fame to start Only Fans accounts and IRL voice-to-text Twitch streamers making $1000> per stream to embarrass themselves, I believe Cameo Unhinged could be a mutualistic relationship for both fans and celebrities, especially for the celebrities.
I think in the broader scope, the pay celebrities in crypto to perform vague tasks is oddly reminiscent of earn.com and could have more productive use cases than what I mentioned such as corporate partnerships and short-term social media endorsements.
